Nagaland

The mountainous State Nagaland is one of the most scenic hill station of North-east. The state is bordered by Assam , Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Myanmar. Probably, the name Nagaland is derived from two ways- Firstly, the 2000 Km high Naga hill raised from the Brahmaputra Valley in Assam which is merged in the Patkoi range. Secondly, The tribal group named Naga from Burma (Present Myanmar) is still living here.

The cultural and the scenic merge is the main quintessence of this place. This is the land of Colour, rituals and festival. The untouched beauty of tribal history and customs is the added grandeur of this state. The river Doyang and Diphu pass through the place and create a mesmerising effect with the amalgamation with the hills. Beautiful flora and fauna are one of the main attractions of the place.

  • By Air: Dimapur, Capital of Nagaland has a domestic airport which is regularly services by domestic airlines. This airport is linked to two most important cities like Kolkata and Guwahati.
